Important updates on Coronavirus

Open letter to our patients

Dear Patients,

I thought of providing you an update on proactive steps we take here at Aviva Dental Care to protect the health and well-being of our communities from Noval Coronavirus (COVID-19). The safety of our patients and the staff is our utmost priority at Aviva Dental Care. The currently recommended infection control protocols are an integral part of our facility since day one. We protect our patients from bloodborne and respiratory pathogens with strict sterilization processes. The chemicals we use for cleaning after the patient's visit are effective against COVID-19. We wear and change our gloves, masks, and glasses appropriately.

In addition to our stringent standards, we implemented the following changes

  • We have removed our treasure box in the kid's play area.

  • We have removed hard to clean materials such as magazines, paper, pamphlets, models, and decorations.

  • We wipe the waiting room chairs, and door handles hourly.

  • We will prescreen our patients for signs, symptoms associated with COVID-19 before the appointment.

  • If you prefer to wait in the car rather than in the waiting room, please let us know ahead of time. We can escort you directly to the treatment room as soon as it's ready.

  • We ask our patients to please follow the guidelines set out by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

  • As per the American Dental Association (ADA) recommendations for COVID-19, the patients will rinse with 1% hydrogen peroxide for at least 30 seconds.

Aviva Dental Care is asking patients who have flu-like symptoms such as fever, cough, running nose to please call (512) 852-8528 to reschedule your appointment. For your safety and convenience, all patients experiencing flu-like symptoms (cough, shortness of breath, and feeling feverish) can get tested for COVID-19 at Baylor Scott & White drive through testing in Austin. For more information, please visit COVID-19 screening with MyBSWHealth.

We are closely watching for the best practices and recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, The World Health Organization, The American Dental Association, and our President.

We thank you for your trust and confidence in us and thank you for your continued support of our team. As the situation with Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to develop, our entire team is ready and standing by to support you. We're going to continue to provide reliable access to the dental services you count on. If you need to reschedule your appointment, please call us at (512) 852-8528. We will be happy to accommodate your request.
